Consortium

The HARMONIC consortium comprises 24 scientific and medical institutes joining efforts to investigate cancer and non-cancer outcomes in two European paediatric cohorts. It is unique for its integrated approach of conventional epidemiology complemented by non-invasive imaging and molecular epidemiology, and development of methods for patient-specific dosimetry.

HARMONIC has support from international radiation oncology and cancer societies and will benefit from the advice of an international advisory committee and its assistance with the initiation of future international collaborations.

The consortium builds on a close multi-disciplinary collaboration within and between clinicians involved in paediatric care, and radiation protection research scientists to ensure the relevance and impact of its results
