LEIBNIZ-INSTITUTE FOR PREVENTION RESEARCH AND EPIDEMIOLOGY – BIPS

The Leibniz Institute for Prevention Research and Epidemiology (BIPS) is a research center devoted to topics from cancer epidemiology to epidemiological methods development, with long-standing interests in life-course and cancer epidemiology, pharmacoepidemiology and health risks in children and adolescents. BIPS is one of few radiation epidemiology centers in Germany with the ORE (occupational, radiation and environmental epidemiology) interdepartmental working group focusing on risks of medical radiation exposures.

BIPS is responsible for building and following the German cohort of paediatric children treated with cardiac catheterization (WP3).
