The University of Zurich (UZH) is Switzerland’s largest university. Research at the Department of Physics covers both experimental and theoretical physics. The Medical Physics and Radiation Research group is developing out-of-field dose algorithms for photon and proton therapy and is working on solutions for whole-body dose assessments. It also has expertise in thermoluminiscence dosimetry for measuring in- and out-of-field dose and profound knowledge on whole-body dose in radiotherapy.
The University of Zurich will contribute to dose reconstruction for paediatric cancer patients treated with modern therapy (WP4) and contribute to statistical and epidemiological development for data analysis in this cohort of patients (WP2).
