BARCELONA INSTITUTE FOR GLOBAL HEALTH (ISGLOBAL)

The Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal) conducts multidisciplinary and translational research in many fields, ranging from molecular biology to clinical research and public health. Its research portfolio covers both infectious and non-communicable diseases, as well as their environmental drivers. ISGlobal has greatly contributed to the translation of health research into public health policies in many of these areas, and is one of the leading think tanks in the global health category, according to the “Global Go to Think Tank” index.

The ISGlobal Radiation Programme has led several European-funded projects to investigate the health effects of different types of ionising and non-ionising radiation, assess its impact on public health, and improve the population’s radiation protection.

ISGlobal coordinates the Harmonic project and leads the cross-cutting WP1 (coordination) and WP6 (communication and dissemination).
