THE PRINCESS MÁXIMA CENTER FOR PEDIATRIC ONCOLOGY (PMC)
The Princess Máxima Center for Pediatric Oncology is the national center for diagnosis and treatment of childhood cancer and allied conditions in the Netherlands. The PMC is working in close collaboration on radiotherapy treatment and pediatric care, with the adjacent University Medical Center Utrecht and the Wilhelmina Children’s Hospital, as well as the University Medical Centre Groningen proton center. The Department of Late Effects and Epidemiology leads and collaborates in national and international multidisciplinary observational studies on radiation-related side effects, dose response assessment, second tumors, cardiovascular outcomes, and burden of disease. Moreover, the group develops and applies methods for translation of research findings into guideline-based care nationally and worldwide.
PMC will contribute bringing in experience in assessment of health outcomes from records linkage, questionnaire, and medical record-based outcome assessment studies specifically for the cohort of paediatric cancer patient treated with modern technology (WP2).
