THE INSTITUTE OF CLINICAL PHYSIOLOGY (IFC) OF THE NATIONAL RESEARCH COUNCIL (CNR)

The National Research Council (CNR) is the largest public research institution in Italy, performing multidisciplinary activities. The Institute of Clinical Physiology (IFC), is the largest Institute of the Department of Biomedical Sciences. IFC-CNR is mostly dedicated to the study of cardiovascular disease, including the relationship between heart and lungs, heart and metabolism, heart and brain, heart and environment, heart and cancer.

IFC-CNR ensures collaboration with the main Italian cardiac pediatric centers and professional societies to build the Italian cohort of pediatric cardiac patients and will be responsible for the molecular/mechanistic studies of the underlying processes of cancer focusing on cellular aging and miRNA signatures (WP3 and WP5).
